The Perfect Pairing

In 2018 I shared here how I gave up web design and chose to partner with a web designer, December Oak. You can read more about that if you’d like, but here’s the quick recap. Over and over again, I found myself dreading the web design aspect of the project. Eventually, I knew I had to either invest a lot of time into becoming a better web designer (which I didn’t enjoy), or I could stop offering that. Then, Stefani and I met, and it was the perfect partnership. She felt the same way, but about brand design. This project was the perfect pairing.

Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to work together a few times. But, recently, we had the ultimate DREAM project, so I knew I had to share more about it here.

Stefani messaged me as soon as she got off her consultation call with Mallory & Kirstie that we all had to work together. As soon as I got on a call with them I knew she was right — this was the perfect pairing. Right away, I could sense their empathy, kindness, and grace. We just clicked. Their work was incredible, and I wanted to be a part of elevating their Brand, Elevate Events (see what I did there?).

So, who is Elevate Events?

Elevate Events is a sister owned event planning & design company providing high quality experiences to their clients. They care deeply about the love, attention, and level of detail given to everyone they work with. They elevate events to a quality, unforgettable experience.

Thankfully, Mallory & Kirstie felt the same way and booked with both of us! We got to work right away. If you’ve been here for a while, you know I focus heavily on Brand Strategy. Doing so creates a strong foundation for the Brand and helps me craft a brand that is beautiful and intentional.

As I was diving into their homework, I noticed them use the phrase ‘weaving stories’ many times, referencing the way they weave stories into the event. I immediately knew that needed to be a part of the brand. The Brand Strategy was approved right away, and we moved on to branding (my favorite part).

The keywords for Elevate Events are: High End, Luxury, Intentional, Light Hearted, Simple. You’ll see all of these reflected in the branding we crafted for them.

Here’s what the client had to say:

WOW. Working with AnnaKate was so much fun. As busy planners and business owners, she made the process so easy for us. We especially appreciated the deadlines she provided us and for always giving updates on where the project stood. She is professional, kind and super creative, and if we could do the process all over again, we absolutely would. Thank you so very much, AnnaKate. We will recommend you to anyone and everyone we can!

Once branding was wrapped up, the project was handed over to Stefani’s talented hands. Stefani is an absolute magician in Showit, and between her skills, the luxurious new brand, and their work, it was a match made in heaven. Stefani worked with them to build a site that spoke to their audience in a strategic way (we’re all about strategy) and exuded the high quality experience they provide.

Instead of showing you a ton of images of the stunning website Stefani created, I’d rather you see for yourself! Head over to the new Elevate Events website and click around.

The Perfect Pairing

I wanted to share this project specifically here on the blog because it felt like a great follow up to my 2018 blog on why I removed web design from my services. This is exactly what I’d hoped for when Stefani and I began this partnership. This was a dream client (the business AND more importantly the people), a brand I’m incredibly proud of, and a luxurious website created by a close friend. All around, a true dream.
